Mayhem sticks up for Kimbo

Jason “Mayhem” Miller is a friend of Kimbo Slice and is taking offense to those who are using his recent loss to bash him. In his personal blog Mayhem says people had their expectations too high for the fighter and also fires back at those who wish to portray him as only a street fighter.

Here is what Mayhem said on his ProElite.com blog to those who are bashing Kimbo now.

“Wow, wtf.

Kimbo loses a fight and its like Jesus fell off his damn dinosaur. He is Kimbo. You guys are setting the bar way to damn high for the guy. Its a wonder that he even walked into the cage, went legit and decided to fight for the mainstream audience. Yea, I guess the money doesn’t hurt, but come on people, he is Kimbo. The reason we watch him fight is the reason I’ve mentioned already 10 times- HE IS KIMBO. The thing about being an internet sensation is that you have a magical cloud about you that encapslates no one else. Kimbo had legends about him from one wacky backyard fight tape that was both hilarious and gruesome. Everyone saw this tape. It was the common day equivelant to blowing into the nintendo tape- everyone knew about it.

Did you care that the guy was fighting kimbo was another streetfighter? Nay. Did you care he was nowhere near the toughness of kimbo? Nay. Were you pumped that there was another Kimbo streetfighting tape? Hell yes you were.”

It appears that Miller is one of the few people who are backing Kimbo publicly as writers and fans have used his 14 second loss as the reason to claim EliteXC and Slice are now done in MMA. Hopefully Slice can come back soon and score a knockout that will make everyone forget about this loss so he can get this behind him as soon as possible.

Well he is Human he is not a MMA god as much as EXC wanted to make NooBz believe that he is just a fighter and he is still learning Jared and Gary Shaw killed any chance he would have at a normal fight career by putting him in the main event.

People who want to talk shit saying he is a Street fighter everyone who was in Ufc 1 to 7 was a street fighter so that is bullshit. Even Rampage has said he was a street fighter once.
