Kang inks new 4 fight deal with the UFC

It has been almost two years now that the UFC and Zuffa bought out their rival promotion in Japan the Pride FC. Not only has the organization bought out all their assets, but has also signed most of their talent with the likes of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Dan Henderson. Now the UFC has brought in another top talent over from Pride as Denis Kang signs on to a new four fight deal with the organization.

The news come from Kang’s camp at American Top Team who congratulate him on the move to the big show. ATT officials had this to say on Kang’s signing.

“Denis will now be able to showcase his skills to a whole new audience who hasn;t had the chance to see this exciting fighter in action. Denis has always expressed a desire to fight in the UFC and we are pleased we were able to help him get this deal done. Denis will bring a lot of excitement to the 185# division! Congrats Denis!” As quoted by American Top Team.

With the addition of Kang now things will be even more interesting in the UFC’s Middleweight division and could also be another threat to Anderson Silva’s title as well as a threat to other contenders in the division such as Dan Henderson, Michael Bisping and Nate Marquardt.

Although Kang has recently won his last two fights with the most notable over Marvin Eastman at a RAW Combat event in Canada he needs to finish strong in his matches and avoid the mistakes of getting caught in a submission like he did in his Dream Middleweight Grand Prix Tournament matchup with Gegard Mousasi in which he was taking the fight to the eventual champ, but than got himself caught in a triangle choke costing him a chance to move on in a tournament where he was considered a favorite, but I’m pretty sure Kang knows that and will step up his game considerably now that he is fighting for the best MMA promotion in the business today.
