Affliction - Couture done
Kim Couture has filed a lawsuit and restraining order on Affliction owner Todd Beard, the suit claims the vocal owner of the UFC’s rival threatened Randy Couture. A judge granted the temporary restraining order, which barred Beard and any of his employees from having any contact with the UFC Heavyweight Champion. The restraining order also includes this weekend’s UFC 91at Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Arena.
MMAPayout.com had the scoop of the lawsuit that was filed on Friday October 17, who revealed that the suit calls for a background check into Beard.

This should end the business relationship with Affliction and its Couture co-owned Xtreme Couture clothing line as well. Beard went on the Scott Ferall show a few days after their business meeting and said he hoped Couture got his ass kicked by Brock Lesnar at UFC 91. While Beard was basically unknown at the time by MMA fans it seems that the remarks made towards Couture were pretty stupid when Beard literally had an investment in Couture. If Beard is actually a former criminal it would put a lot of pressure on Affliction who would have to defend having him as a owner. We will keep you up to date as usual on any further details that come our way.
