Brock earns $450K
Here is something that has not surfaced in a while. It’s fighter pay days at UFC 91 where new UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has earned the money for his victory over the former title holder Randy Couture. Lesnar was the top earner on the card with a $250,000 base salary and an extra winning bonus of another $200,000 to total his salary of $450,000. As for Couture, he came in second with a salary of $250,000, but should Randy had won the fight it was reported that he would have got a win bonus of $250,000, but that as we all know did not happen.
Here are the rest of the fighter salaries for UFC 91:
Main Card
Undercard
As mentioned fighters salaries do not include licenses, taxes and sponsorship as these are only the salaries of the fighters that are reported by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
$60,000 fight bonuses were given out to Aaron Riley and Jorge Gurgel for “Fight of the Night”. Dustin Hazelett for “Submission of the Night” and Jeremy Stephens for “Knockout of the Night”. These bonuses were not included on the fighters salaries as well.
Ryan Thomas busted his ass to only earn $3k for his fight that’s just ridiculous especially if they sold over 1 million ppv
@Hellbow, You have to remember THEY sold the ppv, not Ryan Thomas. No offense to him, but I don’t think anyone gave two shits if Thomas would’ve been fighting on the card or not.
Like in any job, you work your way to the top and better pay, and like the other guy said, that doesn’t include sponsors, etc. THAT is the bloodline for new fighters. Get a sponsor on your shorts or your banner, and make your money on that.
The fight is YOUR chance to get noticed. I saw the fight and I don’t remember what Thomas looked like, all I remem is Matt Brown beat him.
Wtf why does everyone bitch about fighter pay when they make 3 times that on sponsors.
Do you think their managers train them for free
