Rampage stronger than ever says trainer

We are one month and four days until UFC 92 many long time fans like myself are dying to see Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva mix it up for the third time in a UFC Octagon. Make no mistake there is no bigger rivalry in all of MMA you can name that has this much hatred, passion and smack talk. Now Anthony McGann and Kerry Kayes, who are training Rampage for the third fight in the heated rivalry is saying you will see the best “Rampage” ever at UFC 92.

Anthony McGann spoke to UK Telegraph about training the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and says he is in the best shape of his life.

“You will never have seen the Rampage you’re going to see at UFC 92. This is Rampage who has been training with top sparring partners and top experts in all the various fields, top conditioners, top strength and diet experts like Kerry Kayes. This is the Rampage who is going to win back his UFC Title and defend it for years.” Gann said.

The strength and conditioning coach for Boxing’s Ricky Hatton, Kerry Kayes also spoke about the way Rampage has changed his diet to get even stronger.

“I have been lucky enough to do well in sports, and at my age I don’t need to be involved with people I don’t like. But I like Rampage, Mike Bisping and the team at the Wolf’s Lair. I respect them for coming to someone outside of their comfort zone and scouting for expertise like they have with me. Rampage is physically one of the strongest fighters I’ve ever seen and after we’ve redesigned his diet and food intake. He should be stronger than ever for this next fight.” Kayes told the U.K Telegraph.

Rampage will need a big win and all the help he can get if he intends on getting back his Light Heavyweight title anytime soon, a loss can set the former champion back two or three fights to get in position for another shot. Rampage is facing his arch-nemesis at UFC 92 and will need to be in the best shape of his life to beat him. What may be even more important to this fight is the former 205 pound champion’s mind, when he faces Silva will the 2 previous losses still be on the back of his mind? Lets hope not or he will have knees delivered to his head again like in his two previous losses.
