Bobby Lashley wins MMA debut in 41 seconds, looking to jump to the UFC soon  | read this item

Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley knows he has to once again follow in Brock Lesnar’s foot steps entering MMA, as he had to when entering the Vince McMahon owned wrestling promotion. If his performance last night is any indication of how he plans to follow in his steps, Lashley is off on the right foot already. Lashley won his MMA debut over Joshua Franklin at MFA “There will be Blood” in Miami, Florida last night.

MMA Junkie had the scoop on Lashley’s winning debut performance which only lasted 41 seconds into the first round.

Lashley quickly ran in for a takedown and proceeded to ground and pound Franklin and opened a cut on his  face. Ringside doctors came in to inspect Franklin’s cut and called the bout in the first round.

They also revealed a scoop on his possible second fight as well. Sources close to Junkie have told them that Lashley’s next fight is already being planned for February 2009, for the California based Palace Fighting Championship. They also revealed that Lashley will look to jump to the UFC as soon as possible, just like Brock Lesnar did after only 1 fight.

We look forward to seeing Lashley’s fight on tape as we are sure it should surface on youtube some time today or tomorrow, we will make sure when we find it you get to see it as well.
