Ken Flo open to rematch with Diego
The moment Diego Sanchez reported on his Myspace page that he would be dropping weight to fight in the UFC’s 155 pound Lightweight division, most fans speculated over a possible rematch with current number one contender in the division Kenny Florian. Now Florian is saying he is open to the idea of a rematch with Sanchez, who he lost to early in his career at The Ultimate Fighter season 1 finale at Middleweight.
Florian responded to an E-mail question from a fan on last week’s episode of MMA Live about a possible rematch with Sanchez and he said revenge would not play a factor or motivate him.

Revenge not a factor for Ken Flo
Florian is currently waiting for a title shot against BJ Penn after his bout against UFC Welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre at UFC 94. There is no set date for the possible bout, but Diego Sanchez and Sean Sherk are two fighters Florian have lost to before that many have speculated over possible rematches with both of the Lightweight fighters.
Sherk has said in recent interviews that he would also like to fight Florian for the title, given the absence of BJ Penn from the division for his fight with St.Pierre. Sherk has also challenged Sanchez to a possible bout down the line and said he would like first crack at The Ultimate Fighter season 1 winner.
With so many interesting matchups at Lightweight it looks like 2009 will be a year where all three fighters may get their wishes to fight each other and get a title shot.
Diego would own him again he doesnt want to fight him before he gets his title shot. He will become a gate keeper which is what I see in his future
@Nemesis, IDK i think kenny takes this fight this time around with ease he had looked more like a complete fighter lateley then Diego ever has
I still want to see this before anyone fights Bj they are not on his same level yet
I want to see Sherk fight him first so he can expose Kenny and show he is ready for the number 1 spot
Ken Flo would whip Sherk and Diego now. He is a complete fighter now
@chopjudo, Idk I thought so too but something is telling me that Kenny wants to avoid both of them at all costs and fight Bj
@Hellboi, You may have a point, but remember Ken Flo could have sat and waited after he beat Huerta at 87
I think Florian has what it takes now too, to beat both Diego and Sherk.
I just wonder when and where, and how long will it be before someone challenges BJ for the lightweight belt.
