UFC 100 expected to be "Special" according to Dana White

Tonight will be the last UFC event of 2008 when UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″ airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with a triple main event to cap it off. With 2009 on the horizon expect it to be an even bigger year for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts with more shows for the upstart Affliction promotion and the possible ressurection of EliteXC or some other show in the form of it, but expect the UFC to still be the top dog on the MMA market as well and also expect them to put on even more events in the coming year.

In a live chat over at MMA Fanhouse, UFC president Dana Whitewas answering questions from the fans and have asked him what exactly he may have planned for the milestone Summer event, UFC 100.

“People ask me that all the time and we just got together to talk about it. Every card we do, this card is so stacked, and all the cards we do. I don’ t know how much more we could stack a card for 100, but we’re trying to do something to make UFC 100 special.” replied White.

UFC 100 as mentioned could be the biggest MMA event of the Summer and would most likely be going down in the month of July, but what could be the possibilities of such UFC blockbuster fights? Only time will tell, but seeing how good a card UFC 92 will be tonight, just imagine how good UFC 100 could potentially be, and who could Dana White and Joe Silva be having in mind for the event?

Of course we will be passing along the news of the possible bouts that will be going down for the event in the coming months leading up to the Summer of 2009.
