Matt Hamill is wasting no time getting back into the Octagon after his win over Reese Andy at UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″ only two weeks ago. Now he will get back into the Octagon again to face off against WEC veteran Mark Munoz at UFC 96 in Columbus, Ohio.
MMAJunkie.com had the scoop on the potential bout for the UFC 96 card that is getting a lot of bouts very fast.
Hamill who was considered to be a sure thing after competing as a contestant on the Ultimate Fighter 3 has only gone 2-2 in his last 4 fights, but is coming off of a big win at UFC 92 over veteran Reese Andy. Hamill’s record may be at the .500 % mark, but has shown he can compete with the best fighters. Hamill dropped a controversial decision against Michael Bisping that many felt he actually he won. He lost to Rich
Franklin at UFC 88 “Breakthrough” by Technical Knockout and will look to fight against the upper echelon fighters of the division with a win over Munoz.
Mark Munoz is undefeated (5-0) and coming off of back to back wins in the WEC and is considered to be one of the best up and comers in the division. Munoz will look to show he belongs in the UFC and is ready to face better competition as well when he faces Hamill.
UFC 96 is a really fast growing card that as of right now is being headlined by a Gabriel Gonzaga vs Shane Carwin bout that can possibly be for the number 1 contender of the Heavyweight title. While all the fights have only been rumored the UFC has yet to confirm any of the bouts as of yet for UFC 96.
Munoz is going to get pounded on like a red headed step child all night he is good but not ready for the ufc
Munoz is good I would count I. Hamill winning so fast he can wrestle good
@Serial, I think he was from Oklahoma supposed to be like Rosholt a future star
I know this is wrong but can we hear the deaf translated and not Hammil when he wins it’s insufferable to listen to
