“Drago” will return to action at UFC 96…no not Ivan Drago…Pete Sell “Drago” vs Matt Brown. This should be a very interesting match-up as both fighters really do not go to the ground often and like to swing for the fences.
MMAWeekly.com had the scoop on the possible match-up for the Columbus, Ohio card.
Pete “Drago” Sell is coming off of a win after finally snapping a three fight losing streak at UFC 90, when he defeated another struggling former “Ultimate Fighter” contestant in Josh Burkman by unanimous decision. before that win Sell had dropped consecutive fights to Nate Quarry, Thales Leites and Scott Smith. The fight with Smith is still an all time classic that will stand out in UFC fans heads as one of the greatest knockout finishes of all time. Sell punched Smith in the chest and knocked him to his knees in what seemed to be the end of the bout only to rush in with his hands down.
His opponent, Matt Brown has now gone 2-1 in the UFC since participating on The Ultimate Fighter season 7, when he was knocked out of the competition by eventual winner Amir Sadollah. He will look to swing his fists to his 3rd win in the Octagon at UFC 96.
If styles make fights this should be one kick ass fight, both of these guys like to swing for the fences.
I love fights like this someone is going home unconscious
@Rider917, Brown and Drago are Bar room brawlers not reall mma fighters they have no ground skills and Sell is from Serra Ju jitsu too
@D_day347, He would kick your troll ass up and down the street I would pay to see that
good fight on a so far mediocre card
