Thats very true all of a sudden he was taking him down at will with no problem after the 2nd round

@Dan, do me a favor, before this goes any further. Go find some vaseline. Put a SMALL amount all over your hand and fingers. Now try to turn a doorknob. Get the point? No traction, man. It HAS to give an advantage, man! And you’re right, Nurse may not have been GLOBBING it on, but Vaseline isn’t water based, it’s petroleum based. Meaning SWEAT makes it MORE slippery. It doesn’t come off very easily, either. But when GSP came to the Octagon and got his faced wiped, Nurse had his hands on his back THEN. So a little bit here….a little bit here….little bit MORE before the 3rd round…see what i’m saying? it accumulates, and the effect is horrible.

I AM talking objectively, and i’m not 15. Good try, though. Objectively speaking, there is probably cause to at least start an investigation. Before you go getting ahead of yourself, let’s think about expanding the scope of this scrutiny. Let’s check GSP’s part-a-ner’s fights. Let’s see if Nurse lubes up Nate Marquardt or Rashad Evans, both fighters from Greg Jackson’s camp. All jokes aside, the fact of the matter is that this was supposed to be a GREAT fight, one that people would be talking about for a while. While people WILL certainly be talking about this fight, i promise it won’t be about how GSP won. It’ll be about how some random guy in GSP’s corner fucked it up for everyone. If this WASN’T cheating, then again, why do i never see vaseline in GSP’s opponents’ corners? Of course there is the stuff on the face, don’t get me wrong. But would you really argue that the reason GSP’s camp wins because of between-round rubdowns??? What purpose could those REALLY serve? If Nurse has been doing this for a while, that would explain why he was so nonchalant about it. I just really can’t get over the fact that now, instead of a clear cut winner, we have the MMA-equivalent of baseball’s asterisk.

Well, having a tub of vaseline in your hand does not constitute doing something illegal. There’s NOTHING in the video that shows Nurse, grabbing a thick amount of vaseline and rubbing in it in his back or other parts of the body besides using small amount to put in his face. You are just going over of what the video doesn’t show. The prepubertal kids on this thread are not talking objectively. Either way there’s no point to reasoning with a 15y/o chronic masturbator.

i think it’s quite relevant, regardless of how much time he spent on the video or where he made it. After watching it, can you honestly deny that Nurse should NOT EVER be allowed inside the cage again? EVERY SINGLE TIME i saw him, he had that tub of vaseline in one hand, and GSP’s dic….i mean, leg or back in the other.
