Matt Hughes says he did not accuse St.Pierre of any wrong doing  | read this item

Matt Hughes was the center of attention last week for a post on his latest blog, saying that he thought Georges St.Pierre also felt “Greasy” in their two previous matches. Hughes who lost both previous matches to St.Pierre was accused of “Sour Grapes” by several of our readers. Now Hughes says that the statements were never an accusation that St.Pierre was a cheater and he attempted to clarify that earlier today.

Matt Hughes in his latest Blog post responded to the comments last week and said he was just being honest.

WTF? is going on here?

WTF! is going on here?

“I usually don’t do this, but I will this time. When I talk about a topic one week, it usually doesn’t get brought up again.  I think a lot of people need to go back and reread last week’s blog, including GSP.  At no point did I accuse Georges of putting grease on himself.  All I said was that he felt slick.  I’ve wrestled over a thousand matches, fought 50 opponents, all I’ve ever done in life is wrestle and compete with other people.  With all that experience, do you think I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between sweat and something else? Last week when I got to Florida, I was in the elevator with Robbie, I said “Robbie did you hear about GSP?”  He said, “No, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”  I then said that BJ accused him of being slippery, Robbie looked right up at me and said, “That’s what you said after Anaheim.”

“Also, I’ve had several people close to me around my town who have come up to me and said the same thing.  I’ve nothing against GSP, I even think he’s somewhat a likable guy.  Some people are trying to say that I’m making this personal and that’s just not true at all.”

“The reason I didn’t bring this up before was because I didn’t know there was anything to him being slick.  With all the other guys coming out and saying the same thing, I just wanted to be true to myself, and to everybody else, and say that there could be some validity there.”

BTW my opinion is Hughes knows he meant to insult GSP while making his losss look less credible

Its funny how Hughes says I was being true to myself and by that he meant a true dick head

  5. [...] Matt Hughes can’t do any good in some fan’s eyes as the former Welterweight champion is possibly one of the most hated men in MMA. Not for his fighting, but for his opinions and arrogant personality. It was no surprise when Hughes said that Georges St.Pierre was “Greasy” in a blog post that fans would accuse him of attempting to make up excuses for his two previous losses to the Welterweight champion. Where Hughes gets a nomination for a “Fail award” is attempting to say that he never accused St.Pierre of anything wrong. If that was the case than why ever bring up saying he was “Greasy” in the first place? Hughes gets “Teh FailZ” for seeming bitter about the loss and attempting to make himself look better.
