Cyborg out of XMMA card with shoulder injury
As the XMMA promotion gets ready for their upcoming February 28 card just up north of the border in Montreal, Canada they have announced that Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos will not be able to compete at the event due to a shoulder injury and the “New York Bad Ass” Phil Baroni will also be coming off the card as well with the possibility as to why being that StrikeForce has acquired his contract from ProElite. And in Baroni’s place for the XMMA card will be the popular Myspace blogger known as War Machine who has taken the bout on 2 weeks notice.

War Machine takes Baroni's spot on XMMA card
Although injured, Cyborg is still slated to be apart of StrikeForce’s first Showtime event in the month of April as there could still be a chance that she finally goes one on one with “The face of Women’s MMA” Gina Carano, a fight that a lot of people including myself want to see.
As for Baroni who has also been taken off the XMMA card is probably to be believed that his services have been accepted by StrikeForce with Baroni himself saying in the popular Underground message boards that he would be competing for the promotion in the month of May, so in comes War Machine who has been cut by both the UFC and the upstart Bellator Fighting Championship after striking a nerve on his Myspace blog talking about the late Evan Tanner and President Barack Obama. War Machine will be facing the unbeaten Guillaume Di Lorenzi who has an overall MMA record of 5-0.
As promised we at URDirt.com will keep you posted as StrikeForce will soon be announcing more fights in the next few days to come.
