Your #1 Frank

Let the ”Trash talk” commence! I think I am more pumped up for the amount of talking that is going to lead up to Nick Diaz vs Frank Shamrock’s bout on April 11. Yesterday at the StrikeForce: Diaz vs Shamrock press event in LA, both fighters began to get fans interested in their fight on Showtime.

Here is what Nick Diaz had to say about his fight with Shamrock.

“Training has been going great and I am very happy with it. I am clear-headed and ready to fight. I feel I am the perfect candidate for this fight. Shamrock thinks he can beat guys with styles like me. I don’t care about the weight. I feel more energetic. My strength is great. I hit harder. I like this fight because I will be able to control what goes on when we’re on the ground.

“Frank can talk all he wants, but I’m going to beat him up. Let’s see how much he fights back.’’

Fan Question: Will Diaz’s weight be a factor in his fight against Shamrock?

@TerraFirma2hip, Not much actually Frank is cutting down to 179 and Nick will stay at that weight. I spoke to him in a interview a year ago and he told me that he goes up to 170 to 175 at fight time from 160 on the scale.

The difference will be how much weight will Shamrock put on after he weighs in. If he is normally 185 Iam guessing he will probably come into the fight almost at 190 to192

I got Diaz in this one. And geez, I’m going to enjoy this Shamrock getting beat down too…It’ll be like watching Douche-Bag Ortiz kill Kenny. Except this one, I don’t see a knockout from Diaz, I see a sub. Frank’s not agile enough to deal with Diaz’s limb dexterity. But I can’t wait to see the head games these two play. Diaz and Lawler from back in the day was classic, and there really wasn’t much trash talk before hand…
Diaz is entertaining to watch. Call him whatever you want. But him and his brother can scrap.
