Here is a UFC 99 bout that has not been talked about in quite awhile as Welterweights Dan Hardy and Marcus Davis await to finally settle the score in their June 13 grudge match. But Hardy who is an Englishman lives in Los Angeles, California with his girlfriend and with that being said he has been going over to the Wild Card gym to work his stand-up with legendary Boxing trainer, Freddie Roach who has also worked with other notable MMA fighters such as Andrei Arlovski and Anderson Silva just to name a few.

In a recent interview with MMAWeekly.com Insider Blog ‘The Outlaw’ who has worked with former Boxing champion Michael Moorer along with Roach says that it is interesting to get the difference of opinion between Mixed Martial Artist and Boxers from Roach’s standpoint, but is learning a lot from him at the same time.

“There’s always things to work on,” Hardy said of the experience. “I’m not perfect at any range, so I’ve always got to keep working. It’s just a good opportunity to work with a guy like Freddie. It’s interesting to hear his opinions on MMA, how he sees the range is different from MMA and boxing.

And when asked about his UFC 99 matchup with Marcus Davis the Brit says that this will be the last time that ‘The Irish Hand Grenade’ ever fights one of his countrymen and his time for fighting in the UK is over.

“It’s just a perfect fight for me, and I think he realizes that his time’s come with his hold over the UK,” said Hardy. “This is going to be the last fight against a British fighter.”

Hardy at the moment is in Germany to visit with the US troops and then from there will head back home to begin his training camp for his UFC 99 fight with Davis which will be held at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.
