Problems continue to arise for the upcoming UFC 99 event in Cologne, Germany with the organization banning minors under the age of 18 to catch the live event at the Lanxess Arena on June 13th now one of the bouts on the main card is in jeopardy as Heavyweight Heath Herring has to be forced off due to an illness he has had over the last couple of weeks which has prevented him from training for the match against undefeated prospect Cain Velasquez.

According to Ariel Helwani of MMAFanhouse ‘The Texas Crazy Horse’ has been unable to do anything let alone train for his co-main event matchup against the former Arizona State wrestler.

However, with the new addition and return of former PRIDE open-weight grand prix champion Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic competing on the UFC 99 card has now been rumored to possibly step in to take Herring’s place, but Cro Cop has already been tabbed to take on Mostapha Al-Turk in place of newcomer Todd Duffee of American Top Team.

We will keep you posted on this situation as soon as further details have surfaced for the UFC 99 event which will still be headlined by Rich Franklin taking on Wanderlei Silva in a 195 pound catch-weight bout.
