At last night’s UFC 98 post-fight press conference UFC President Dana White announced that the organization will be making a return to Southern California in the month of October for UFC 104 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The return to the Golden State will mark the first time the world’s biggest MMA promotion held an event since UFC 76 “Knockout” when they were at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California back in September of 2007.
Also the UFC will be making it’s return to Los Angeles since May of 2006 where former Welterweight champion Matt Hughes faced MMA legend Royce Gracie in a 175 pound catch-weight main event bout at UFC 60 which was also held at the 20,000 seat Staples Center, the home to the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers.
No main event has been announced, but we will keep you updated on the October 24th event as soon as further details break.
