It appears that the Ultimate Fighting Championship has found a venue and location for the UFC Fight Night 19 event as it will be held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 16 on Spike where the event will eventually lead into the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter 10 which will now have Kimbo Slice as one of the 16 Heavyweight contestants fighting for a six figure contract with the UFC.
The news on the UFC Fight Night 19 event was reported by Tulsa World confirming the location for the show.
With the UFC holding the event in the State of Oklahoma it will mark the first time the organization returns to the “Sooner state” dating all the way back to UFC 4 “Return of the Warriors” where legend Royce Gracie won another tournament in the city of Tulsa.
No main event matchup was announced by the UFC, but some fighters reportedly expected to compete are newcomers Ronnys Torres and former PRIDE Heavyweight Mike Russow, but we will keep you posted when matchups have been announced by the UFC in the weeks to come.
