As we all heard the big news last week that former YouTube internet sensation and EliteXC poster boy Kimbo Slice has become a contestant on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter which will consist of an all Heavyweight show there has been other surprises that are also apart of the Spike/UFC reality series with names such as Roy Nelson and Wes Sims.
According to MMAMadness.com sources close to the show say that Nelson and Sims have also joined Kimbo on the fray as well.
Nelson who is nicknamed ‘Big Country’ has a career MMA record of 13-4 and was a one time former IFL Heavyweight champion with exceptional skills for a guy his size, but has been on a current two fight losing skid to the likes of Andrei Arlovski and Jeff Monson over the last 5 months.
Meanwhile Sims who has a record 22-12 is a former UFC veteran in his own right, but was unsuccessful after 3 tries after losses to Mike Kyle and current interim Heavyweight champion Frank Mir on two separate occasions is now coming into the show on a three fight wins streak in smaller promotions to now get the opportunity to fight his way back to the big show once again.
The TUF 10 series which has already begun filming has heated rivals Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and ‘Sugar’ Rashad Evans working with their teams in order to see who will win that six figure contract that the UFC has up for grabs.
