Frank Mir: “Brock Lesnar can’t play my Jiu Jitsu game” at UFC 100

Fan Jab: Mir has stated that Brock will never catch up technique wise to himself. He also says that Brock is sure powerful but that his skill in subs will be the clincher.

In a interview with MMAFanhouse.com, Mir accepts the fact that Brock is massive & powerful & there is no sense spending years to catch up strength-wise, so Mir wants to fight smart & use “Style vs Guile”.

“His wrestling is the dominant area of his fighting skill set, and obviously his power, so I look to see that in the fight,” Mir said when asked what he thinks Lesnar does well. “I don’t think he can play the jiu jitsu game where he takes me down, passes my guard and looks for a submission, but he could take me down and look to establish a dominant position against the cage, raining down punches and using power to his greatest advantage.”
“Trying to beat Brock at being strong, I’ll need a few more years to catch him, if that’s possible — obviously, it’s not,” Mir said. “So I’ll just look to find ways to use technique. I can’t really go head-to-head. That’s not the smartest game plan in the world, so I’m trying to use technique and movement to gain an advantage, with my agility and my movement.”

    Mir talks so much shit and Brock is just as bad some times but this guy loves the sound of his own voice and doesn’t stop talking ever

    Jeff Blatnick the USA olympic wrestling gold medalist was a commentator in the First number of UFC shows, he always used trademark saying “style vs guile” for fights between a brawler like Kimo & a technician like Royce. Priceless.
