With three fights in with the UFC and winning all of those bouts Dan Hardy awaits his next challenge in the Welterweight division and one fighter that is possibly being mentioned to face ‘The Outlaw’ is former WEC Welterweight champion Carlos Condit who lost in a very close decision to Martin Kampmann in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 18 this past April, but with three wins already in the UFC to Condit’s lone loss Hardy does not see it as a fight on the horizon for him.
MMAWeekly.com Insider blog caught up to the Nottingham, England native in Los Angeles and they asked him about his thoughts on a possible next matchup against the ‘Natural Born Killer’ and said it could be a great fight, but is leaving the decision up to UFC match maker Joe Silva.
A bout between Hardy and Condit would make a lot of sense with Mike Swick and Martin Kampmann possibly fighting it out for the number 1 contenders spot for the Welterweight title at UFC 103 and would be another great addition to the 170 pound weight class for such a fight and with Condit having the slight edge on the ground Hardy may see it quite differently.
However, Hardy also feels that the fight may not be what the UFC is looking to put up with Condit’s loss and Hardy winning all three of his fights.
And as far for when his next fight will be Hardy feels it could be sometime in the fall whether in October or November, but what do you think could it very well be Condit or someone else?
i dont really like this hardy guy,
@c.z, no one does and I respect him for beating Davis but he needs to back up his talk
Condit by submission for sure Hardy has no ground game at all
Hardy is good but he is right there’s no reason for the ufc to do this fight now
