Here is a very interesting matchup in the Heavyweight division as Pat Barry (4-1) is expected to be facing Antoni Hardonk (8-5) at UFC 104 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on October 24. Both fighters who were former Kickboxers have trained together under K-1 legend Ernesto Hoost in Holland.

According to MMAWeekly.com the two have already agreed to the matchup and bout agreements should be finalized shortly.

Barry made his Octagon debut at UFC 92 this past December and chopped Dan Evensen down to size with some vicious leg kicks to pick up his first career UFC victory, but then picked up his first loss with the promotion just recently at UFC 98 when he was submitted by newcomer Tim Hague late in the first round and will now look to get back on the winning side with a fight against his former training partner.

Meanwhile Hardonk recently snapped a three fight winning streak when he was TKO’d in the second round to Heavyweight contender Cheick Kongo at UFC 97 this past April in Montreal, Canada and now has an even UFC record standing currently at 3-3. For those of you who don’t remember Hardonk made news last week in the Los Angeles area when he helped thwart a robbery near the LA International Airport as three young men tried to rob him and two other people in the area.

The UFC 104 card will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight title matchup as new champion Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida will make his first defense of the belt against fellow Brazilian Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua in the main event.
