According to several reports the UFC sold over 1.5 Million pay-per-view buys for UFC 100, if each sold event cost $44.99 that means the event took in a minimum of $67,000,000. That does not include the amount of customers like myself who paid an additional $10 for the HD broadcast.

According to a report from Time.com the UFC was offered $1.2 Billion for the promotion last year from an undisclosed buyer.

“The UFC generated $300 million in pay-per-view revenue in 2008, surpassing both boxing and pro wrestling for the second straight year. According to the UFC, 473 million TV households in more than 60 countries now have access to its programming; that kind of reach was enough to get White and his partners a $1.2 billion offer to sell the UFC about a year ago, which they ultimately turned down.”

So if they made 67 million on this card why are are still doling out welfare sized cheques to their vetrans. Obviously Hendo & Page don’t know how much the Fertittas are making or they would ask for more or jump ship to actually make a descent wage.

@Fujita, cause Affliction is paying fighters 1 million a piece and cant make money.

Boxing is paying fighters $10 million and its not enough for them and it constantly makes the best boxers duck each other.
