Following the first knockout loss of his career last weekend at UFC 100 to Dan Henderson, Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping along with his Ultimate Fighter Team UK contestants Ross Pearson and James Wilks are expected to be competing at the UFC 105 card from the M.E.N Arena in Manchester, England on November 14 with the event also possibly airing for free on Spike.
According to MMABay.co.uk who has ties to the Wolfslair gym in Liverpool broke the report, but since then MMAjunkie.com was told by a source that all three fighters have been tentatively booked for the November fight card.
Michael Bisping (18-2) will be looking to make yet another run at the top to someday compete for the UFC Middleweight title, but will need to start that run with a victory. However, we will have to wait and see who the UFC will put in front of the former Ultimate Fighter season 3 winner.
As for Ross Pearson (9-3) and James Wilks (6-2) both fighters won in this past season of The Ultimate Fighter as Pearson gained a unanimous decision triumph over fellow Team UK teammate Andre Winner, while Wilks submitted Team USA’s DaMarques Johnson with a rear naked choke in round one to win the six figure UFC contract at The Ultimate Fighter finale last month and the show in Manchester, England would be a good start for both TUF winners to try and get comfortable in the big show which is the UFC.
We will keep you posted on any further details if all three fighters from the UK will be competing on the card as expected when the UFC makes an official announcement.
