Last week we learned that UFC President Dana White and former Light Heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz have put their differences aside and are now once again BFF’s or best buds. Now it appears that Dana White could very well be burying the hatchet with former UFC Welterweight champion and longtime trainer, Pat Miletich in the process.

MMAWeekly.com‘s Insider caught up to Miletich that he has arranged to meet up with White within the next few weeks as it looks like they will also be playing nice as well.

Miletich who is the head trainer over at the Miletich Fighting Systems over at Bettendorf, Iowa has most of his fighters either not partaking in UFC competition or others starting up their own camps in order to keep fighting on as Tim Sylvia has left for Affliction while Matt Hughes and Spencer Fisher who are still with the UFC do not train with Miletich anymore. Plus, the only fighter Miletich had in the UFC which was Middleweight Drew McFedries was kicked off his camp for the comments he made in his UFC 98 victory over Xavier Foupa-Pokam.

Also Miletich wanted nothing to do with White in 2006 when he was passed up to coach on The Ultimate Fighter season 3 in favor of Tito Ortiz in the process, but Miletich basically says that it is just water under the bridge at this point and will move forward.

“I think we’ve both decided that it’s better that we’re not at each others throats,” said Miletich. “We’re both stubborn, and that’s our problem.”

What will their meeting be about after putting their differences aside? Could more of his fighters be coming back into the UFC fold? Or maybe even a future spot on the UFC Hall of Fame? Maybe even get Tim Sylvia a spot back on the roster? Any thoughts on the matter?

This is huge news, just like the Tito BFF story. I think zuffa is doing everythig they can to mend fences to corner the market on mma talent. Soon neithe affliction or Strikeforce will have quite the pool to pick fighters from. I don’t respect Zuffa’s business practices but they know how to make a lot of money & to protect their own interests.
