UFC 104: Machida vs Shogun looks like it just got a little bit more stacked with the addition of a quality Lightweight bout when Joe Stevenson faces off against Spencer Fisher on October 24, from the Staples Center.
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that the Lightweight bout between the two veterans is not official, but the bout agreements are close to being finalized.
Joe Stevenson (30-10) snapped a two fight losing streak at The Ultimate Fighter season 9 finale with a (unanimous) Decision victory over Nate Diaz. He will look to stay on the winning track using good Jiu Jitsu and solid striking against Fisher.
Spencer Fisher (23-4) is coming into this possible bout on a three fight win streak and will be looking to make a case as a serious contender against Stevenson. As usual Fisher comes into this fight with one of the deadliest stand up games in the Lightweight division.
This should make for a interesting fight of two different styles, Fisher likes to stand and bang while going for the knockout. Stevenson on the other hand likes to stand, but has a vicious ground game and is a threat to finish any fighter who test him on the ground.
This should make for a good opening fast paced bout to UFC 104.
