An interim StrikeForce middleweight championship fight is supposed to take place sometime later this fall and one of those spots is already reserved for Jake Shields, but now the organization is looking for an opponent in which it could be Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller who says that a bout agreement has not been given to him yet, but also said that he would “smash” and “beat the piss” out of Shields on his Twitter. Now Shields has got wind of what Mayhem has said towards him and has a response of his own.

In a blog posting at GracieFighter.com where Shields trains with his manager, Cesar Gracie said that Mayhem was given a contract and will not sign it because he may not be ready for a fight in October.

“He’ll beat the piss out of me..? He’s the one that won’t sign the contract. I would sign that fight tonight but he just wants to talk and act tough, but he’s the one that won’t sign. His manager tells us the fight is on, Miller has agreed and then I’m hearing he’s decided he can’t fight in October but would maybe do it in December.” said Shields.

Shields who was on MTV’s Bully Beatdown where Miller is the host says that Mayhem thinks he is now a big star like current StrikeForce middleweight champion Cung Le.

“He thinks he’s a star now but just like the show I was the only one doing the fighting while he just did the talking. He must think he’s Cung Le now.”

Fan Question: Is this fight still going to happen or is Shields going to face somebody else?
