It appears the Gracies will make their return to the cage this February at UFC 109, well not all of the Gracies just Rolles. The son of Rolls Gracie who is the nephew of the late great Helio Gracie is expected to make his debut at this event.
Rolles Gracie’s management team announced the fight against Mostapha Al-Turk on their Twitter.
Mostapha Al-Turk (6-5) will be fighting for his roster spot most likely when the two fighters step in the Octagon. He is now 0-2 in the UFC and has showed very little promise in his losses to Cheick Kongo at UFC 92 and to Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 99.
Rolles Gracie (3-0) has won all three of his fights and made his debut for the IFL back in 2007. He will be looking to keep that streak going against Al-Turk at UFC 109.
Rolles and Mostapha will be at opposite ends of their fight careers when they step in the cage on February 6. Rolles will be looking to impress in his debut and Mostapha will be looking to stay alive in the UFC.
UFC 109 has not been officially announced, but is expected to be the promotions annual Supebowl weekend event. Welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre us expected to make his return against the winner of the Dan Hardy vs Mike Swick bout at UFC 105. No official return has been announced, but St.Pierre’s manager has stated she expects his return for the card.
As usual we will keep you up to date on any information that comes our way on the UFC 109 card.
Al turk is one the worst fighters I have ever seen he doesn’t even throw punches or kicks the whole fight
The Brazilians pronnounce the R with a H sound that means his name is Holes Gracie interesting
Finally a Gracie:) I wanna see more submissions!
