Earlier today the California State Athletic Commission released the UFC 104 fighter salaries as the high earners for the card where the light heavyweight headliners Lyoto Machida who is still champion made an event high $200,000 and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua made $155,000. However, Machida did not earn an extra bonus for winning the fight. The undisclosed UFC 104 fighter payroll came out to $922,000.

  • Lyoto Machida ($200,000) defeats Mauricio Rua ($155,000)
  • Cain Velasquez ($70,000) defeats Ben Rothwell ($50,000)
  • Gleison Tibau ($38,000) defeats Josh Neer ($14,000)
  • Joe Stevenson ($94,000) defeats Spencer Fisher ($26,000)
  • Anthony Johnson ($30,000) defeats Yoshiyuki Yoshida ($12,000)

Undercard (televised on Spike)

  • Ryan Bader ($30,000) defeats Eric Schafer ($13,000)
  • Pat Barry ($14,000) defeats Antoni Hardonk ($16,000)

    Wow, is that correct? Machida didn’t get the win bonus?

    I understand the controversy but that is a cheap shot in itself to do that and basically slap him in the face. At the end of the day Lyoto won the fight regardless of anyone’s opinion. Shogun did not take the belt therefor Machida is champ. Give the man his money!

    Machida won the fight so it is his right to get a win bonus (hence winning). Dana White is a bitch for not giving him one.
