Ever since Ultimate Fighter season 10 contestant Kimbo Slice stepped into his first fight inside the Octagon in a loss to fellow contestant and former IFL heavyweight champion Roy Nelson, many were thinking who Kimbo would be facing in his official UFC debut and rumors have been a buzz for quite sometime that the YouTube sensation would be taking on fellow stand-up extraordinaire Houston Alexander. Now it appears that the match-up will in fact be taking place at The Ultimate Fighter season 10 finale on December 5, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Matt Erickson of the Northwest Indiana Times a source close to Alexander’s camp says that the fight has been agreed upon and will be set at a special catch-weight of 215 pounds.

The report also states that the bout was originally scheduled to be a light heavyweight fight at 205 pounds, but the source also got word that Slice would not be able to make the cut to 205 pounds, so the bout was agreed to for 215 pounds.

In his only fight on The Ultimate Fighter “Heavyweights” Kimbo Slice (3-1) was knocked out of the competition early by Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson via second round TKO and in his last official MMA fight was knocked out by former Ultimate Fighter season 2 contestant Seth Petruzelli at EliteXC “HEAT” last October.

Meanwhile Houston Alexander (9-4) was given permission by the UFC to take a fight for the Adrenaline MMA promotion in the month of September and got back on the winning track with a first round TKO victory over one time UFC vet Sherman Pendergarst after losing three straight inside the Octagon.

We will keep you posted once the bout has been officially announced by the UFC, but The Ultimate Fighter “Heavyweights” finale will be held at the Pearl Theater from the Palms Casino & Resort on December 5, which will also be live on Spike.
