At the press conference a few days after Affliction's collapse they were asked at the EA MMA announcement presser if Fedor had been released by Affliction as a free agent. M-1 did not respond their lawyer did and his response was they were ready for legal action against Affliction if they tried to stand in their way of signing with the UFC or StrikeForce. The lawyer pretty much sent Affliction the message of don't fuck with us we will sue. Affliction already knew they were going to be sued.
