With Brock Lesnar out of their UFC 108 heavyweight title fight Shane Carwin will use the time to make sure his knee is healthy and ensure he is at his best when he does meet the champion down the road.

Carwin’s manager spoke to Fighters Only Magazineand said his client will have his knee checked out with a MRI.

“He is “going to get an MRI to see how bad my leg is. Might as well heal up and get a full check up.”

It is not known when the injury was picked up but as a wrestler
Carwin’s knee joints are subjected to significant amounts of wear and tear both in training and fighting.”

As of right now no one actually knows when Carwin will step into the cage against Lesnar, but we are all hoping that UFC 109 will be the event the title is defended.Carwin will need every advantage he can get, it appears health may play a significant factor in his title shot, especially since health has played a big role leading up to their fight.
