Last night in the early going of Fedor Emelianenko’s debut fight for StrikeForce last night on CBS the former PRIDE heavyweight champion received a big cut on the bridge of the nose from a stiff jab dealt by Brett Rogers leading to believe that ‘The Last Emperor’ had suffered a broken nose. However, that does not seem to be the case although he did leave the fight with an injury following his devastating second round TKO victory to still remain as the best fighter on the planet.

Steven Bash who translates for Fedor Emelianenko and serves as his American representative for M-1 Global tells MMAWeekly.com that the damage to his nose was nothing more than just a deep cut as it did not break as many have believed at first.

However, Bash did go on to say that Fedor injured his left hand during the fight and also had a dislocated thumb which had to be popped back into place as he will need to check in with a doctor to check on his injuries as he was also fitted with a soft cast in a Chicago area hospital following the event.

Fedor took everything Brett Rogers had to give and more as he was able to find an opening on ‘The Grim’ and drop the massive 6′5″ 280 pounder to the mat with a big overhand right to rack the 31st MMA victory of his illustrious career.
