StrikeForce “Fedor vs Rogers” was a good card and a great effort for the California based promotion’s first event on national tv.
Esther Lin of StrikeForce gets all the credit for these great photos of the event.
Fabricio Werdum defeats Antonio “Big Foot” Silva by decision.
Gegard Mousasi defeats Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
Jake Shields defeats Jason “Mayhem” Miller to capture StrikeForce middleweight title
Fedor Emelianenko defeats Brett Rogers by TKO Round 2
Didnt find Shields on youtube..was it worth anything?

Do you mean the fight? It was OK, but Shields cruised with some LNP in the second half of the fight and it was a bit boring.
Some people wrote that Shields dominated, but LNP is not dominating that is securing a win.

Gotta give Rogers his respect for really looking good against Fedor I think he should move up in ranking if you ask me he looked better then most people thought he would against him

i was there and right before the fight i heard Fedor tell his manager that he just watched rocky 4 and here’s the quote “i just finished watching Rocky 4 and you can really do that…”
Trainer: “do what, Fedor?”
Fedor: “walk in there and crack that big moolie’s jaw. watch….”
and then at the post fight press conference he made Rogers bring him a root beer and a box of ju-ju friuts.
real talk, i was there, and the shit happened.

Yeah I thought the fight would be a wash for Fedor. He had no problem with Roger’s size (he threw the grim down like a rag doll), but strength was another matter. Still, like always, Fedor easily figured his opponent out and landed the trademark Zulu. After being reminded of how cool Fedor is under fire, and watching him against a big strong quick monster, I can visualize how a fight with Brock would go. Brock ain’t nowhere near the striker Rogers is, and Fedor has no problem subbing wrestlers. So, Brock would either get subbed by Fedor from the bottom, or get Zulu’d if they stood long enough.
