This past weekend following the StrikeForce “Fedor vs Rogers” event just outside Chicago, Illinois CEO Scott Coker said during a post-fight interview that the promotion would be signing two top tier heavyweights within the next 7 to 10 days and that these heavyweight fighters would help make a big impact in the weight class. It now appears that one of those signings could very well be former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei ‘The Pitbull’ Arlovski (15-7) who could either be competing at the StrikeForce “Evolution” card on December 19 or with the Sengoku or DREAM promotion’s in Japan on New Year’s Eve.

MMAFanhouse.com reports that the Belarusian’s management team is in negotiations with all three MMA organizations while Arlovski is training to get ready for a fight in the process.

Arlovski has not found any success in 2009 so far with losses to both Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers who competed in the StrikeForce main event this past Saturday night.

Still, Arlovski was offered a fight on the nationally televised CBS event as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Mike Whitehead and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva were mentioned as possible opponents, but a deal was never reached as both parties could not reach an agreement on any of the match-ups.

If Arlovski is one of the two potential signings made by StrikeForce would the other signings consist of either Josh Barnett or Bobby Lashley?
