Fedor KO Punch

Remember when Andre Arlovski got knocked out by Fedor Emelianenko at Affiction “Day of Reckoning”? Do you remember how fast he was hit and knocked out? Brett Rogers fell to the “Last Emperor” in a similar fashion this Saturday at Saturday Night Fights after having some success in the beginning of their fight.

In a testament to how fast and hard Fedor hits, Rogers told CageWriter.com he did not see the punch that knocked him out coming in Saturday nights fight.

“I guess you can say I didn’t see it coming,” said Rogers. “I definitely knew that’s his punch. I like to throw but every now and then I put my hands down. He got too close. He capitalized on the hole. I’m gonna work on that.”should’ve

Rogers also said that if he gets a rematch against Fedor he will throw more punches against him, he felt he was not aggressive enough in their fight.

“I’m going to come out a whole lot more aggressive [next time]. He was playing the game right. I should’ve been throwing my hands.”

Fan Question: Would you like to see a Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers rematch in the future?

Not interested in a rematch cuz Feds only has 2 more fights on his contract. I want Overeem then Bobby.

But it’s true, Feds can even beat a striker at his own game. Feds trains with combat sambo which is what the military prolly uses. It’s a style that goes to end the fight unlike boxing which goes for points. If you wanna end a fight you train with spetznatz not Freddy Roach.

I hope ufc picks up rogers he’s got potential and shouldn’t waist it in strike force like fedor is

“…every now and then I put my hands down.”?? Anyone who watched the video of Fedor’s coaches prepping for the fight will understand that there was little doubt by them that Fedor would Rogers out. Rogers throws his punches in flurries (and not that accurately), with his hands low and his head sticking up like a turkey at a turkey shoot–no head movement. He is a dead ring sucker for an overhand right–Fedor’s Sunday punch. If they fight again? Lather, rinse and repeat.

Not interested in rematch, Rogers was not even worth it for the first match. Wanna see Fedor vs Lesna, Fedor vs OVereem, anybody but Rogers, he had his chance.

Not interested at all, Rogers is not prepared enough, not experienced enough, not ready enough. As he says: he should’ve did that, did this. Who cares Rogers??? You lost the fight. Even after the fight, he could say THANK YOU FEDOR for teaching me a lesson. Fedor (as a real figher)said: “Thank you Rogers for the fight!” And Rogers immediately started talking about a rematch. WTF. Chill. It’s OVER!
