The StrikeForce “Fedor vs Rogers” nationally televised event on CBS has come and gone and former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko is still virtually undefeated in his MMA career as he finished the very tough Brett Rogers this past Saturday night. But, do you believe that ‘The Last Emperor’ got exposed during the main event match-up this past Saturday night?
According to Comedian and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan stated on his Twitter page that Rogers may have exploited a hole in Fedor’s style, but did not capitalize on it enough due to his slightness of hesitation as the fight progressed.
Rogan also commented that if Alistair Overeem who is still the current StrikeForce heavyweight champion got to fight Fedor that he would be able to cause more problems than what Rogers was able to do.
But another question that lies is will Alistair Overeem actually be ready to compete and finally defend his StrikeForce title in the early parts of 2010 after nursing a hand injury to go along with passing up to compete in the US to fight in Japan?
Fan Question: Do you agree with the comments made by Joe Rogan?
As we already know, Joe is a comedian, LOL.

F@#^k Rogan.. He cant be neutral in his comments. He has his hand in UFC’s cookie jar.
Overeem is overrated to begin with and is not a true heavyweight.

What did he expose that Fedor can be hit with a jab or that he can bleed from his nose?
Sorry Joe stop letting Dana write on your twitter

Bull crap. Rogan is just bias. Rogers didnt expose anything…. other than that Fedor is small for a HW.

He broked his nose with the first jab of the night. I can’t see Fedor being able to hang with Brock, AT ALL. Hell, for that matter, Carwin. I don’t think Carwin OR Lesnar get KO’ed by that hook. But that, of course, is just speculation. I wish Fedor’s nut-handlers had signed him with the UFC, so we could have an answer.

I like Rogan..He has great standup! + I usually like his commentating..as opposing to most people, I guess.
I dont think Fedor can take the weight of Lesnar just laying on him and hammer-punching him to death.

I have listened to Joe Rogan’s commentary for some time now. What I’ve discovered is that any time Joe is covering a fight, there’s actually two fights going on: the one that’s actually occurring in the ring, and the fantasy one that’s occurring in Joe’s head. The two seldom bear much resemblance.

I haven’t gotten that impression at all. That’s funny. I enjoy hearing Rogan more than any other mma broadcaster. ANY. And he doesn’t care about outside influences, he gets into the cage after and asks the right questions, and says the right things during matches, not just what has happened, but what is about to happen. I think you may be seeing things that aren’t there, out of some outside bias. He’s spot on in the many fights I’ve watched. He tells you about things that the cameras don’t show you. I’m glad he calls the fights, and hope he continues to call them. Sorry he’s not Good Ol’ Jim Ross…

Rick you are smoked up bro. You could pull the bum Tito heckled & put him in the ring & Joe would talk of how this bum is a golden gloves & a world class K-1 striker with legendary ground skills. Joe is the biggest fluff talker ever. Did you hear how when Kit Cope was in the ufc, Joe talked this guy into godhood, which followed by said god being storched.

Rick, try going back and reviewing the George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves fight. Don’t watch the fight but just listen to Rogan’s commentary. You would swear the fight was damn near even, even though Alves got dominated. But everyone is welcome to their opinion; that’s just mine.

Watching Fedor/Rogers, I made up my mind that Fedor would either ko or sub Brock because 1. He was able to throw Rogers around like a rag doll, so size wasn’t a factor. 2. Brock is stronger, and Fedor had problems with Roger’s strength i.e. couldn’t hold him down BUT Fedor took big shots while on the bottom but remained unfazed and went for a sub. 3. Brock ain’t 1/2 the striker Rogers is, and we know what happened to Rogers. Sooner or later, if you stand with Fedor, you will get Zulu’d. Fedor is much faster than any heavywt. So, I don’t see Fedor having any problems with Brock. Or Overeem for that matter. If Chuck ko’d Overeem, then Fedor would murder him.

Well, Overeem was way better today than his days as a light hevvyweight. I guess Rogan’s right, he’ll pose some problems. But Fedor will definitely find holes in Overeems game and capitalize it for the win.

You guys probably don’t know what your talking about..you just hate Rogan for some unknown reason..
Rogan makes great comments and great break-downs of fights.
And HELL YEAH, I probably can sign that Lesnar will take Fedor. Comparing between Rogers and Lesnar is just dumb really. Fedor CANNOT throw Lesnar around like rag doll, Lesnar is a BIG & agile guy with great wrestling base. Fedor is LHW compared to him, Lesnar’s shots on the ground will not be easy to take like Rogers with those Lunchboxed-size hands. And if Lesnar is really making that progression like they say he is..he won’t fall into a sub.
My guess…Lesnar vs Fedor..TKO – by Lesnar.

not only was Rogers able to power out of EVERY sub attempt that Fedor made, but Rogers was hesitant. Brock wouldn’t try not to lose the fight. He’d bring the fight to Fedor. I REALLY think once Brock got Fedor down, Fedor wouldn’t get back up. Also, if Fedor’s nose can be broken by a jab, what do you think those ham-hocks of Brock’s would do? And yes, I absolutely think that Fedor will beat Overeem. But i also don’t care. We knew when Fedor signed that he was signing with the weaker organization; that there IS NO ONE that can test him in Strikeforce. Which is why the Russian mafia signed him there.
And in Rogan’s defense, Kit Cope IS a pretty highly decorated kick boxer, going 23-1 in his career. Now he’s training with the Diaz’s and Cesar Gracie, so who’s to say he won’t still make a big impact?

Every one here knows I’m Fedors biggest fan but I don’t think there is a chance in hell that he is going to leave StrikeForce where his promoters are continueing his streak against lesser competition and making a ton of money
I don’t think he will ever fight Brock, Shane or Cain in his career cause one of them will fund a way to beat him
His management knows that and he is going to fight good looking b fighters

Joe Rogan knows his MMA and maybe forgot that not long ago he said, “Fedor is a savage…” “He has an incredible knock out punch…” Now Rogers didn’t exploit a weakness??? Just remember…every fighter thinks they can take Fedor, until they get hit. Two absolutes…Never bet against A. Silva, or Fedor…oh, and Dana White is a circus barker…nothing more, nothing less. So don’t get pissed off about what he says. He is always going to sell the best “product line” for UFC. No passion for MMA or his fighters.
