Updated on the bottom of the post: Just when the only rumor going around was Renzo Gracie vs Matt Hughes for UFC 109 in February of 2010 another big rumor has been thrown out there as Cincinnati Bengals star Wide Receiver Chad OchoCinco has laid out a challenge to current middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 108 to kick off the new year on January 2.

The mecca of all sources Twitter has OchoCinco tweeting UFC President Dana White as OchoCinco says that he needs a fight in January and specifically wants to face ‘The Spider’ as Dana obliges his request.

The fight however if booked by White and the UFC will be for a charity drive as I am pretty sure that Anderson is still recovering from elbow surgery (I think), but OchoCinco sounds very serious about fighting inside the Octagon.

Still, is this just a big joke between the two or is this really for real? I guess we will know soon enough, so stay tuned!

Update: Rashad Evans saw OchoCinco’s post on Twitter and jumped in to challenge him to a future fight as well.
