A light heavyweight bout is reportedly being together which will have newcomer and New Zealand native James Te Huna make his Octagon debut against Mirko Cro Cop’s former sparring partner Igor Pokrajac at UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia on February 21, 2010.

According to Fighters Only the fight has been booked although there has been no word as to whether or not both fighters have agreed to meet at the event.

Te Huna signed with the UFC last month and was expected to make his debut “Down under” as he comes in with a career MMA record of 12-4 and coming into this fight on a six fight winning streak. Te Huna was also signed by PRIDE a few years back, but was unable to get a fight in with the organization as they were sold off to the UFC’s parent company, Zuffa back in 2007.

Pokrajac on the other hand is 21-6 in his MMA career and made his Octagon debut back at UFC 103 in the month of September where he picked up a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of the returning Vladimir Matyushenko and will now be looking to pick up a win in the organization at the expense of the Aussie newcomer.

UFC 110 will feature the middleweight debut of Wanderlei Silva a former PRIDE champion facing off against Yoshihiro Akiyama in the night’s main event of the evening.

If Te Huna is polynesian then his head is prolly hard as iron. This will be a war of attrition or Huna will get the ko.
