As we all know current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was diagnosed with a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract which required surgery in order to begin the healing process as UFC President Dana White said that Lesnar had a hole in his intestine. And after learning of the news, Lesnar’s originally scheduled UFC 106 opponent, Shane Carwin has sent his support to wish the champ to get better while recovering and now so has the former PRIDE heavyweight champion and number 1 consensus heavyweight fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko.
In his blog post at Team Fedor the virtually unbeaten Russian heavyweight who is looking forward to the M-1 Challenge event in St. Petersburg wishes his counterpart well and agrees that it is always unfortunate to see a champion being out of action due to illness or injury.
Always a class act, Fedor shows his compassion even though it is an opponent he may never face in the UFC, but that is the kind of thing amongst other reasons why the future Hall of Famer is loved by many MMA fans and media members around the globe.
Hopefully, there is some hope that Fedor will finish up his contract with StrikeForce sometime in 2010 and realize that he needs to be in the UFC just to prove that he is the best in the world even though it is agreed that he does not have to and give the fans the fight that people would love to witness by facing Brock Lesnar granted that he does get better.
Props to The GARV for the find
Fedor is always classy
