There was a lot of build up going into Antonio Rogerio “Lil Nog” Nogueira’s debut at UFC 106, due to the fact that he would be fighting one of his friends in Luiz Cane. Cane stated several times before the fight that it was hard to fight Nogueira because he was one of his heroes growing up in Brazil. Nogueira gave Cane a bigger reason to look up to him at UFC 106, because he destroyed him in under two minutes.

- Cane starts out with a leg kick as both fighters size each other up
- Nogueira lands a leg kick of his own
- Nogueira lands a few swift straight lefts on Cane
- Nogueira hurts Cane with another solid left as Cane begins to run away
- Nogueira lands a solid right hook on Cane to drop him to the ground then to finish him off as referee Steve Mazzagatti stops the fight.
