As UFC 106 comes and goes the usual fight bonuses were announced by UFC President Dana White as $70,000 was on the line. With that said the extra cash was handed out to welterweights Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson, plus Octagon newcomer and former PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira for their efforts. The extra bonus money goes to the fighters who score the best KO, submission or fight of the night as welterweight contender Josh Koscheck was able to net two awards in the process.

The “Fight of the Night” went to the co-main event headliners Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson for their eye-poking two round affair which had both fighters in vulnerable spots throughout the fight, but Koscheck with his experience was able to sink in the rear naked choke for the finish and the victory as he also gains the “Submission of the Night” for the choke hold and an extra $70,000 to net $140,000 in bonus money.

Last but not least, the “KO of the Night” went to the twin brother of Antonio ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira in Antonio Rogerio ‘Minotouro’ Nogueira for his first round destruction of Luiz Cane where “Lil’ Nog” only needed less than two minutes to accomplish to cap off an impressive UFC debut.

As for Koscheck, will he make his case to get into the welterweight title picture by getting a fight in with Dan Hardy whom he called out after the fight?

Stay tuned!
