UFC 110 is looking stacked right now for the promotion’s first cardon February 21, 2010 and it looks like it may have gotten a little bit deeper. A fight between Rich Franklin vs Keith Jardine is possible for the card at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.
The fight Rumor started on the Underground Forums and cited Shedog.com’s Greg Savage for the initial information on the bout between the two veterans.
Keith Jardine (15-6) is coming into the potential fight on a two fight losing streak and has not won a fight since defeating Brandon Vera at UFC 89 last October. I would suppose it is safe to say that Jardine will be in serious trouble if he can not get out of his funk and may be at risk of losing his roster spot with a third straight loss.
Rich Franklin (25-5) is coming off of a knockout loss to Vitor Belfort in the UFC 103 main event. Franklin has now lost two of his last three fights and is looking to make a run in the 205 pound division now that the middleweight division is no longer a option.
On paper this sounds like it could be an exciting fight since both fighters like to exchange and have good overall striking games. We will let you know if we hear any other word on this fight, since at the moment it looks like it is just a rumor.
