With the UFC 106 event come and gone the organization has made their rounds to cut fighters off their roster and the axe has apparently landed on middleweight Jake Rosholt (6-2) who was submitted in the first round by Ultimate Fighter season 3 winner Kendall ‘Da Spyda’ Grove at the November 21 fight card.
The news was learned from Rosholt’s Twitter page as it was his second loss in three fights within the organization.
Jake Rosholt came over to the UFC when the promotion’s little brother fight organization the WEC dissolved their middleweight division late last year and has gone with a 2-2 record with both Zuffa promotions.
In his time with the UFC, Rosholt lost in his Octagon debut to Dan Miller at UFC Fight Night 17 in February and bounced back with a big win over Chris Leben at UFC 102 in August, but his loss to Kendall Grove at UFC 106 was his second loss in his career where the like the first one ended up with him being submitted.
However, Rosholt is still listed as a highly touted prospect and it is very possible that he will wind up with either StrikeForce, DREAM or even the MFC up in Canada and with improvements could eventually wind up in the UFC once again.
That sucks he isn’t a can and he gets cut before Leben WTF that’s bullshit
