Update: Ariel Helwani of MMA.Fanhouse.com is reporting that veteran Trevor Prangley (22-5) may be Benji Radach’s replacement against Lawler. Prangley has won 5 straight and defeated Marcus Sursa this past weekend at Shark Fights by submission (RNC).

Update #2: Once again Ariel Helwani for MMAFanhouse.com reports via Twitter that former PRIDE and current StrikeForce commentator Mauro Ranallo says that the organization is also looking to put Melvin Manhoef in the cage to fight Robbie Lawler at StrikeForce “Evolution” on December 19, as well.

The upcoming StrikeForce “Evolution” event from San Jose, California is still not complete as middleweight Benji Radach who was rumored to be facing former EliteXC 185 pound title holder Robbie Lawler has not been medically cleared by his doctor to take the fight as Lawler still currently awaits for the organization to find him a new opponent in the process.

The news was given by Benji Radach’s manager, Ken Pavia who said that his doctor has not cleared him to resume training to get ready for a fight due to the fact that he has not fully recovered from a broken hand he sustained in his last fight with Scott Smith this past April at StrikeForce “Shamrock vs Diaz” where Radach was knocked out in the third round.

However, StrikeForce CEO Scott Coker tells Sherdog.com that an opponent will be announced within the next couple of days as a replacement to step in and face Robbie Lawler for StrikeForce “Evolution”.

As for Robbie Lawler, this will be his first fight back inside the cage for the promotion since his first round submission defeat at the hands of Jake Shields back in the month of June.

Once we find out who will be stepping in for Benji Radach to take on Robbie Lawler we will be right here to keep you posted.
