Remember a few weeks ago when Rich Franklin was rumored to be facing off against Keith Jardine at UFC 110, turns out the rumor was false or premature.
MMAWeekly.comis reporting that Jardine will fight at UFC 110, but his opponent will be TUF 8 season winner Ryan Bader.
Ryan Bader (10-0)has showed a lot of improvement since winning the eight season of the Ultimate Fighter primarily as a wrestler. He has shown those improvements during his two decision victories over veterans Carmelo Marrero (UFN 18) and Eric Schafer (UFC 104). Bader will now face his biggest test against Jardine who owns wins over two former light heavyweight champions.
Keith Jardine (15-6)is in desparate need of a win after dropping his last two fights to Quinton Rampage Jackson and Thiago Silva. Overall he has dropped three of his last four fights and needs to show consistency now more then ever. Jardine was considered a title contender after defeating Forrest Griffin and Chuck liddell in 2006 and 2007, but always manages to lose fights that can get him over the top.
This is a solid fight on a card that is looking deeper and deep as the weeks pass by. So far it looks like the promotion is going into UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia looking to make a major impact.
We will keep you up to date on the latest information on this card as soon as we hear more rumors.
