In the year 2009 where UFC champion Anderson Silva still reigns supreme in the middleweight division, other Brazilians have reached his level such as his close friend in UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and new WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo who laid waste to former champ Mike Thomas Brown last month at WEC 44. Now ‘The Spider’ has words of advice for the very talented 22 year old.

In a recent interview with Tatame.com Anderson Silva says that with Jose Aldo being aligned with the Nova Uniao camp which is also in Brazil that the hard work is finally paying off.

anderson-silva[1]“This guy is a talent, a young kid that’s conquering his space. He has a great team behind him and he has everything to stay as a champion for many years and bring more joy to his team and to Brazil. He’s very dedicated and he’s having the results of his work”, said Anderson.

And Silva’s words of encouragement for Aldo is to always remain focused at all times.

“My tip is to keep focused, don’t forget the origins and to listen to people who wants good things to you”, said, knowing that Aldo is well advised. “Now will appear a lot of people by your side while you’re successful, but Dedé (Pederneiras) is a great leader, Nova União is getting even more strong and they never let down. I wish him all the happiness of the world…Now is to enjoy the title, because there will be fights again soon”.

In his title fight with Mike Thomas Brown last month at WEC 44, Brown threw everything he could do to try and slow down the Brazilian wrecking machine, but Aldo was able to avoid the pressure with great confidence and was able to do what he does best, which is finishing fights and if he was able to do that to a top caliber fighter of Brown’s stature, just imagine what he could have in store for other fighters such as Urijah Faber, Raphael Assuncao, Leonard Garcia and Manny Gamburyan….stay tuned!!

This kid is tremendous!! Right now there is no one on his level in the wec. Can’t wait for him to take apart urijah faber. Don’t get me wrong faber is one hell of a fighter. But this kid is a whole nother pedigree. All the others that were mentioned don’t really match up to his skill set. Please that’s gonna be like throwing a bunch of rabbits to a wolf in a cage. I can’t wait for this kid to fight again.

P.S How come this kid doesn’t have K.O of the year for that distruction of cub swanson. Or fight of the year for coming out of no where and smashing the champ if that ain’t worthy what is!

Dude ur sooooo right. None of those guy could stand a second in the ring with jose, except faber. Its kinda weird to jugde though because jose whippd brown and brown beat faber twice…. So im just gonna say that i cant wait to see the jose vs faber fight. Faber has the speed to match aldo, but aldo has better accurace….im my opinon. Plus jose uses more of a muy thai style. His strikes just have so much power for someone his size. Shit like that makes me think twice before getting in fights in the street lmao lmao lmao. Hands down though i vote aldo….i just wanna see how. Im not sure of the fight date for the two of them but ill look into it… Holla bac………98
