Japan’s biggest MMA event is a few weeks away for Dynamite!! 2009 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama as K-1 and DREAM parent company, Fight and Entertainment Group (FEG) has announced some of the matchups earlier today for the DREAM vs Sengoku bouts as Japan’s top ranked featherweight Norifumi ‘Kid’ Yamamoto will be facing off against new Sengoku featherweight champion Masanori Kanehara.

In other bouts will have StrikeForce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem taking Kazuyuki ‘Iron Head’ Fujita in what appears to be Overeem’s third MMA fight in the last month as he gears up to finally make an appearance in the U.S. at some point in 2010.

Also apart of the DREAM vs Sengoku challenge will have Hayato ‘Mach’ Sakurai taking on Akihiro Gono, DREAM featherweight Grand Prix finalist Hiroyuki Takaya facing Sengoku featherweight runner-up Michihiro Omigawa and Hideo Tokoro facing BJJ ace Marlon Sandro.

Also another heavyweight fight with StrikeForce’s Ray Sefo taking on former pro boxer Yosuke Nishijima.

None of the other matchups were officially announced for the Dyanmite card, but is also expected to have former DREAM middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi in a K-1 rules bout and Dutch striker Melvin Manhoef competing as well.

We will keep you posted as soon as FEG officials have announced more bouts for Fields Dynamite!! in the days leading to the New Year’s Eve event.
