The Ultimate Fighting Championship has brought in another highly touted prospect to the organization as they have signed Phil ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Davis to a contract and should be making his Octagon debut at some point next year.
Sherdog.com which got the news on the signing of Davis says that no opponent has been determined at this point in time as well.
Phil Davis comes to the UFC with a perfect 4-0 MMA record and comes with a wrestling pedigree from Penn State University where he was a four-time All American and finished his collegiate career with a record of 116-20. Davis was also a national champion in his own right back in 1997.
Davis did not reveal any terms of his contract, but says the UFC will be a huge learning curve to get a feel as to where he belongs within the best MMA organization in the world.
In preparation for his debut, Davis has been training with current UFC light heavyweight Brandon Vera at the Alliance Training Center in San Diego, Californiaand has strong intentions on leaving his mark within the promotion.
