With the new year just around the corner, so is the WEC 46 fight card as the organization prepares for their first event of the campaign some changes have been made as the lightweight fight between Dave Jansen and Kamal Shalorus has been upgraded to the main card and bantamweight Jesse Moreng will be withdrawing from his bout with former UFC lightweight George Roop due to injury.
Sources close to the event have told MMAJunkie.com that the Jansen vs Shalorus matchup will be apart of the live main card on VERSUS, meaning the WEC 46 card will hold five televised fights rather than the usual four in a two hour slot.
Meanwhile the injury to Jesse Moreng has not been determined as he sustained the injury in a recent training session to prepare for the bout with George Roop who will be making his promotional debut as he awaits a new opponent.
Here is what the WEC 46 fight card is shaping up to look like with the main event featuring an undisputed lightweight title fight between champion Jamie Varner taking on interim champ Ben Henderson:

WEC 46 will be held at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California on January 10, 2010 and will once again be live on VERSUS.
